The adverse effects of climate change are undeniable, and we want to do our best to be part of the solution. Many concerts, venues, and festivals around the world are setting new sustainability standards for live events.

Zaccaria Concerts and Touring and our brands (SummerSalt, By The C, Live In The Vines, Castaway) conduct many outdoor concerts over the Summer around Australia. As such, we respect the gorgeous summer locations we operate in when we conduct outdoor concerts, and include green initiatives to minimise our impact to these locations and beyond.

We have eliminated all single-use plastics from our bar operations. We now offer canned water for sale in our bars and where we do use plastic bottles they are 100% recyclable. This means that seeing plastic straws, cups and non recyclable water bottles at our shows have become a thing of the past.

We have also eliminated plastic water bottles from the backstage catering areas and artist areas. We now provide water stations with cups for all of our backstage operations and for our on site staff. We provide reusable drinking bottles for our staff to use at the water refill stations.

We also ask our concert patrons to help and minimise their own impact – steps including taking public transport, avoiding bringing unrecyclable plastic in to the venue, disposing of waste responsibly, and other small things that can be done to reduce harm to the environment. We allow patrons to bring their own reusable water bottles to our outdoor concerts and we provide drinking water refill stations around the concert site. We provide biodegradable rubbish bags to all patrons as they enter our venues and we ask patrons to use these bags for their own litter and keep recyclables in a separate bag. Our cleaners will collect them at the end of the night.

We have also proudly partnered with Greenbatch -, who provide recycling bins at our concerts. Greenbatch is working towards building a major plastic reprocessing plant, turning any PET plastic bottles we put in our recycling bins into items such as 3D printing filament for schools to build and create with, textiles created out of bottles and recycled cotton and back into recycled material bottles. Look out for Greenbatch stalls and information at some of our shows.
